The most beautiful weather, end of June... everything is in full bloom, lilac scent hits with the breeze, every where you look is evidence that life comes again after a long winded season of cold. Pool days, men working the fields, the smell of fresh cut grass. The newest fawns tucked into the dips of the fields, glimpses of families of bears. Soccer on the front lawn, all ages... towels drying with sun on the pool fence. Plants growing daily with moisture of rain & heat of sun. Long work days, sleepovers & big boy breakfasts. Sheep sheered (shorn) & figuring each other out again. Learned they don't have a strong scent mechanism so they look for their mothers, unlike other animals who go by smell. Landscaping, late suppers, later sleeps... 1 year anniversaries (J&J). Thankful, Blessed... getting back to true beliefs... Epiphany of the week... let them vent, our elders know how they feel... just perhaps allowing them to express their strong opinions, albeit negative at times, a sense of being listened to may lighten their load and relieve them of some burden... show compassion not judgement.
