2 Corinthians 12: 9

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". Jesus  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. Paul

Saturday ~ tournament/annual yard sale & breakfast at SCS

I guess I found my affliction... hypoglycemia... it comes on when there is too much going on for too long of a time frame.  Mom, Dad & Uncle John stopped in today and I spoke about it with Mom.  Well, I have it too sometimes, she said.  Look at Uncle Arnold, Uncle Stew, Aunt Hazel, they take needles for their diabetic conditions.  I realize both Mom & Dad have the symptoms I'm feeling.  It helps to know this... go have a drink of milk or a piece of cheese!

this can be managed, I read this afternoon about the blind and deaf woman who heard for the first time in her Doctor's office, how emotional, she almost turned inside out.  What things we think are so horrible and yet so manageable, we have so much (:

Jaden's team just tied 2-2 in their second game at the provincials in Doaktown.  The three youngest all found a treasure at the sale... especially Pooh (that belonged to the IWK child Zoe) and C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia all on discs for Marika to listen to... quiet time in her room.

Jared is doing well holding down the farm ~ a little more practice needed with the breeding yet.

2 Thessalonians 3:16  has come to me this afternoon... Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.  The Lord be with all of you.

and he is with us, wherever we are, our family, spread all around, he is with us each one...

Blessed today...

Ready to Fly ~

John 5: 23-24
Whoever does not honour the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.  Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.  He does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.

We must honor Him and live as He wants us to live.  simple.

I have discovered that it is about 3pm in the afternoon, or just before that I feel the hunger of some quiet with the Word.  A time to read, learn, reflect on the day and live on from there.

Fresh baked, soft, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate still warm and a refreshing cup of coffee, on my butt in the moulded leather office chair.

~the duck is still calling...

kids are gathered around their Papa at the table, discussing projects, desires of their heart ~ today they have been free to really be kids. Too much wind and drifting to make the treck to school.

Digging in the massive snow drifts... the 18 year old leading...

Dad's helper went on the road trip to pick up the new freezer, to hold the cow that broke it's leg in Norton just in the last weak and a little... checked on Grampie too, then home to unpack the boxes...  it will be nice come garden harvest to have the extra freezing space (:

It's time to get the seed in, starting the little plants right at home, the first time in years...

We'll keep them in the loft over the garage, nice & warm, at the south facing window... maybe a light for them tomorrow, Virginia advised to look at Canadian Tire.  She used to start her plants in the hennery, hardly sun coming in, but the lights sustained them, that & some heat... Keith's, it seemed just perfect, so many years ago.  I must visit this spring, take in as much advice from the seniors as they can still give, he in his 90's and her in her 80's, with that heart that kept itself going all these years.

Grace

Fear is Fraud because God is there no matter where we are~

... and it's time for chores... thankful for this "last?" snow day!

How you live ~

Ephesians 5: 15  Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Paul was communicating a sense of urgency because his days, and ours, are difficult.  We must keep our standards high, act wisely, and do good whenever we can.

If we allow the spirit to fill us, we will be full of joy.  To do this, the Bible says to submit ourselves daily to His leading and draw constantly on his power.

So many photos to organize, school project for a girl who has so many more interesting and fun things to do... but weren't we going to go through ALL the drawers and closets today?  not to mention the filing? ...

a boy with a one track mind of the newest animal call (practicing the call of the wild all day long).

The eldest, very focused and wired hard to farm very well, the perfect barn in mind. Daddy just wants to read, take it slow, enjoy a cup of coffee.

The barn helper content to stay inside and read her book, safe from the fierce blizzard keeping us home from school today.

Mom realizes that the rest of the world isn't running frantically, trying to have everything done up perfectly.  Maybe I don't HAVE TO.  Maybe that's not what God wants me to do.

I feel the storm coming in my own head, stop!  Go to the Word and learn how to listen and be content, be joyous, enjoy the blessings.

The littlest that lost his tummy all over mama yesterday had a wonderful sleep.  Now he's up and feeling well, acting like he's better, a gift (:  The girls are content, another...  Grampie got to have chemo, the first in the last group of four, yes, the end of treatment in sight.

Maybe the photos can be done a day here and there, a memory that doesn't get mixed in the wrong order and finger printed and food stuck to... here are a few from the afternoon we didn't have to go out... and they didn't cost $.15 ea. and a trip to WalMart (:

~ and a throw back... for lost time, maybe two (:

... we all went, to Caton's Island for the end of the year school family day.  Mama took Advil that day, and was glad she did, very enjoyable day!  Special place!

...I wanted to document the house being built... snapped a pic here and there, this was the first of the foundation... we walked over every evening once the crew left to check out what was done that day.  We're coming up to a year anniversary pretty soon!  We've been living comfortably here since the later part of October 2013, just 5 months, sooooo thankful (:

March 23, 2014 ~ rest on a beautiful Sunday afternoon

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.  Proverbs 16:24

How these words found their way to my inbox, no coincidence I think... I pray and He answers.

In a chapel service Friday morning at KU, the visiting pastor, sporting many black braids and the most beautiful sea blue shirt with black accent designs, shared from the Word.  He encouraged us to pray for Power, that God is able and He will use us to make things happen.  A marriage can be saved, and another.  A young woman can realize that the child in her is no mistake and she can teach that child about God's love. I understood that if I commit to being His, that He may use me for his greater glory.

Forgiveness; we are human and God will work through us, even when we don't know what to do on our own.  Where hearts are in the right place, work at it and things will be okay.  Apologies, talking, phone calls, effort and we are a team stronger than ever. Not by our own but by His will.

We hugged babies in the toddler room this morning.  The littlest brought me his coat (15 mins ahead of schedule) and we went to the rocker.  Using the  soft fleece coat as a blanket we rocked, and within 10 minutes he was breathing slowly, rhythmically and tucked his little hand by his cheek, a warm pillow on my chest.  First noted gift of the day ~ happy toddlers, contented.  Next ~ a playful 18 year old, happy to be on the farm, building his snowman with the younger siblings.  ~A banner for the Sussex PeeWee Rangers. ~A team who love one another, coaches too! ~Resting Joshua ~Sunday rest for an overwhelmed Mama, feeling thankful (:

... hope to write more again soon.  This day is a gift, maybe there will  even be time to get back into my newest read "Where Courage Calls" by the wonderful Janette Oke, my first loved author, and her daughter Laurel Oke Logan.  That, and Beverly Lewis' "The Confession" movie arrived Friday and we watched together that very evening.  Hoping that Michael Landon Jr. will have a hand in yet another film from that series, fingers crossed (; (;
